Israeli Forces Beat Husseini Family Members in
Procession and Storms the Orient House
Today at 11:30 a.m., members of the Al-Husseini Family, mostly women in traditional Palestinian cloths, were beaten back by Israeli security forces as they made their way to visit the grave of Faisal Husseini.
Israeli forces used sticks to beat back the procession and stormed the Orient House briefly before being forced out by Orient House staff. Israeli security has made a security cordon around the Orient House and visitors are being prevented from entering the Orient House.
The Orient House condemns this latest action and pleads with the international community to restrain Israel from further action. The Orient House will continue preparations to honor the man of peace, Faisal Husseini.
