The prupsoe of the Legal Department at the Orient House
is to uphold and protect the rights of Palestinians in
Jerusalem. The Department is currently composed of
five Palestinian lawyers who handle approximately 200
cases a year ranging from issues related to residency,
to housing, to upholding prisoners rights while in
detention.
The Department provides affordable legal representation
to those Palestinians in Jerusalem who express an urgent
need.
